In 1892 Giueseppe Sartori opened what would become the Altea Ties shop in Milan on the corner between Via Verri and Via Montenapoleone, an area which almost a century later was to become the epicenter of world fashion. Driven by his pursuit of quality and extraordinary good taste, he soon built up a loyal clientele who bought ties in antique oriental brocades, carefully crafted at the back of the shop. For the time the brand was highly evocative, a special name was used and the Altea ties as we know them today were born, the name Altea borrowed from a hardy, perennial plant.

Still handmade today in Italy, Altea Ties bring an air of refinement to any outfit. DeCalo Fashion is proud to offer a collection of Altea ties at our famously discounted prices so you, like the sophisticates of 19th century Milan, can enjoy the quality and standards laid out by Mr. Sartori in 1892.
